Objective

Perform pole and underground utility and communication inspections and inventory to

include all aspects of pole line such as pole height from below ground to top of pole,

height of cross arms, guard arms, transmission, primary, secondary, drops, spacing, type

and size of transformers and transmission/cable lines, down guys, pole to pole guys and

all other related equipment, duties and paperwork for accurate inspections. Will perform

these duties with the highest standard of safety and integrity.

Experience

June 2012 – Present

Thomas Field Services…..This is a company that I created and own. I am the sole

employee.

Pole and Commercial/Residential/Equipment Inspections

Spent 10 days and approximately 100 poles training under contract for expected work

with Stateside Services for pole inspections in regards to wind loading. Stateside services

did not get the contract with Time Warner Cable so I returned to doing other types of

inspections not related to pole line as stated above.

May 2008 – June 2012

Walkup Company…..Designed aerial and underground fiber plant to feed cell sites for

Verizon and T-Mobile in GO95 accordance. These lines were built by Time Warner Cable

using my design and leased to Verizon and T-Mobile. I also designed fiber feeds, some a

mile long that included make ready, for commercial businesses that included high rises in

downtown Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica and the Metro area. Performed asbuilts

as required. Able to use AutoCad program.

January 1994 – April 2008

Family Properties…..I do have much more pole line experience previous to this non

related work experience but will state this gap briefly. Please continue to read my related

work experience after this entry.

Both parents got sick and I had to help with their rental properties. I worked at this for 14

years. The amount of units required someone full time and trustworthy so I left the CATV

industry until we sold them in 2008.

1980 – December 1993

Times Mirror CATV, Simmons CATV, Cablevision Industries – Long Beach Ca.

System.

These three companies owned the Long Beach, Ca. system in the order stated above.

stayed with each company and worked up the ladder. Positions held are in this order.

I

Warehouseman, Installer, Service Technician, Construction and Maintenance Technician,

Chief Technician.

The most important position in regards to my future employment with your

company would be the Construction Technician position.

I have pulled strand, mounted pole line hardware, lashed cable, performed make ready,

mounted power supplies, activated new plant and everything else that is involved in

building a CATV system.

Each one of these positions was performed with the highest standards on my part as can

be seen with each promotion from Warehouseman to Chief Technician.

In Closing

standards strong and I am easy to get along with and get along well with others. I believe
